You can use single sign-on (SSO) to create and manage an Airtime account with an existing Google or Apple account. SSO adds a level of account security and lets you use Airtime without needing to remember another password.
Set up SSO with Google
- In your web browser, go to signin.app.airtimetools.com/ooo/sign-up.
- Click Sign up with Google.
- Log in to or choose the Google account that you want to sign up with.
- Click Continue.
- Your Airtime account will be automatically created. You’ll be redirected to the Airtime app.
- In your web browser, go to app.airtimetools.com/sign-in.
- Click Sign in with Google.
- Log in to or choose the Google account that matches the email address associated with your existing Airtime account.
- If your Google email address doesn't match the email address associated with your Airtime account, a new Airtime account will be created instead.
- This will set up SSO with your Google account for your Airtime account. You'll be redirected to the Airtime app.
Set up SSO with Apple
- In your web browser, go to signin.app.airtimetools.com/ooo/sign-up.
- Click Sign up with Apple.
- Log in with your Apple ID.
- Click Continue.
- In the Email section, select Share My Email or Hide My Email. This will either “share” or “hide” your Apple ID email address from Airtime.
- Click Continue. If you choose Hide My Email, Apple will create a private email alias to use with Airtime.
- Your Airtime account will be automatically created. You’ll be redirected to the Airtime app.
Find your Apple email alias (Hide My Email)
If you hide your email, Apple will generate an email alias that will be associated with your Airtime account. You’ll still sign in to Airtime with SSO using your regular Apple ID, but you won't receive invites to presentations or emails when videos are shared with you unless you share this private email alias with others.
To find the Apple email alias associated with your Airtime account:
- In your web browser, go to app.airtimetools.com/account.
- In the upper right, look for the email address next to your name ending in privaterelay.appleid.com. This is the private email alias that Apple generated for your Airtime account.
Share this email address with anyone you collaborate with in Airtime. If another Airtime user wants to invite you to collaborate on a presentation or share a video with you, they must send the invite to this private email alias.
- In your web browser, go to the Airtime sign in page and click Sign in with Apple.
- Log in with your Apple ID that matches the email address associated with your existing Airtime account.
- If your Apple ID doesn't match the email address associated with your Airtime account, a new mmhmm account will be created instead.
- This will set up SSO with your Apple ID for your Airtime account. You'll be redirected to the Airtime app.
Enable SSO for your Teams organization
If you're an Airtime for Teams admin or owner, you can enable SSO to require your team to use Airtime with an SSO provider like Google or Apple.
- In your web browser, go to app.airtimetools.com/account/team/authentication.
- In the Single Sign-on section, turn on Require all members to use SSO.
- Select your organization's SSO provider.
- Click Save. This will turn on SSO for everyone on your team and prevent them from signing in with a password.
Turn off SSO on an existing account
- In your web browser, go to app.airtimetools.com/account/connected-apps.
- In the Connected apps section, click Disconnect next to the SSO provider.
- A prompt will appear letting you know that disabling SSO will require you to set a password. Click Continue.
- You’ll be automatically signed out of your Airtime account.
- You'll receive a password reset email from Airtime. In the email, click Reset Password.
- After resetting your password, your Airtime account will now be associated with this new password. You'll sign in to Airtime using this password moving forward.
