Follow these steps to uninstall the Airtime desktop app from your Mac or Windows computer.
Note: Uninstalling Airtime from your computer will not delete your Airtime account. Learn how to delete your Airtime account.
- Close any video conferencing apps that are running on your computer or use the Airtime virtual camera, including Airtime.
- Open the Finder on your desktop or from your dock.
- In the left sidebar, go to Applications.
- Find Airtime, then right-click it and select Move to Trash.
- A The application "Airtime" is hosting system extensions. These extensions will be removed if you continue window will appear. This refers to the Airtime virtual camera and virtual microphone plugins, which will need to be deleted in order for the Airtime camera to be fully removed from your video conferencing tools. Click Continue.
- If prompted, enter your Mac password to finish moving Airtime to Trash.
- To permanently delete Airtime, right-click the Trash icon on your desktop or from your dock and select Empty Trash.
- After you finish the uninstallation process, restart your computer.
Airtime virtual camera still appears after uninstalling Airtime
If you still see the Airtime virtual camera in Zoom, Meet, or other video conferencing apps after uninstalling it from your computer:
- Re-install Airtime on your computer and open it.
- In the Mac menu bar, go to Airtime > Uninstall Airtime Virtual Camera.
- Follow the on-screen steps to uninstall the camera.
- Uninstall Airtime normally as outlined at the beginning of this article.
- Close any video conferencing apps that are running on your computer or use the Airtime virtual camera, including Airtime.
- Open the Start menu and navigate to Settings.
- In the left sidebar, go to Apps.
- On the right, click Apps & features.
- Find Airtime in the apps list.
- On Windows 11, click the More icon ⋮ and select Uninstall.
- On Windows 10, click the Airtime app, then click Uninstall.
- A pop-up window will appear stating that the app and its related information will be removed. To confirm, click Uninstall.
- After you finish the uninstallation process, restart your computer.
